Two Months Old (Already)

It's hard to believe but we are already parents to a two month old - it's gone so fast it's hard to believe it. And boy have you changed so much in such a short space of time - your already changing into a little girl. It's good now that you've learnt to smile because your always ready to give one. I've been blessed at the moment with one very happy and content baby (except when your hungry because then you become like your daddy and you'd think the world was coming to an end if your food doesn't appear instantaneously). You've discovered your hands too and love nothing better than a good suck on your fist - it's quiet funny coming across you staring at your hand because you can almost see your brain ticking over and when your in your rocker and you concentrate so hard to kick or hit the little dangling toys it looks like your pulling your limbs through wet cement but you are getting better at it everyday.

Harmony

I've known Miss Harmony for about four years now and I have to say she would have to be one of my favourite little people. She changed from being a shy baby when I first met her at 18 months to a vibrant and chatty young girl. She's provided her mother and I hours of entertainment and more than one excuse to go shopping!!! I never thought I'd want to have a daughter after growing up in a houseful of girls you know how catty it can get but after meeting and getting to know Harmony you realise that the bond you have with a daughter is something you'll never experience with sons.

Bella's Baptism

We weren't planning on having her baptised so soon in fact it was supposed to happen on her first birthday when some of our relations could be in attendance but then Alex had to go to sea. Now not baptising her would not have worried me but with Alex's faith he wanted to make sure her place in heaven was secure before he left. So we ended up having a quiet ceremony with just my good friend Zoe, her daughter Harmony and us in attendance. Bella was so good - she didn't even cry when the water was poured over her head. We'll still have her naming ceremony on her first birthday but now it won't have to be so formal.
